Guest guest
Dandavats Mahamantra ji! Hari Haribol!! Thanks for the Vrindavan quote. I heard you are India right now. Are you going to Russia this year? I was wondering if you could help me out. I received the question below which I could respond with general answer but maybe it would be better to get a comprehensive answer. As with many questions there are different ways and on different levels we could answer them. Your input would be helpful. Thanks. ys,umesh ------------- Dear Sir, I have a spiritual question for you. I am asking this question because I was reading the Art of self realization yesterday and there is on chapter by Bhaktivedanta PrabhuPada which disturbed me. Please answer this question as soon as possible. In our Hindu religion there is a concept of soul that is central to all belief in God. Prabhupada was arguing that scientists can only say that there is no soul but they can never make a life out of chemicals. That was true some 50 years ago but with animal cloning that has been done and even human cloning is possible that is no longer true. Where is the soul in the cloning process. What happens to the soul? Please answer this question as my belief is in God and I know that without God there is nothing possible in life. As you know, Satan has tried to come into my mind by questioning me but I have to throw him out of my mind forever. Also I wanted to ask you where I can find the English versions of the Vedas as I have know my religion well. Thanks a lot, and hope to hear back from you soon, Rakesh Ranjan --- "Mahamantra (das) ACBSP (Vrindavan - IN)" <Mahamantra.ACBSP (AT) pamho (DOT) net> wrote: > sodhvA pada-praharan api ca zatazatam dhik-kRtInAM ca koTiH > kSut-tRtzitAdi-vAdhAzatam api satataM dhairyam Alambya sodhvA > muNcan zokASru-dharAm ati-karuNa-girA rAdhikA-krSNa-nAmAny > udgAyan karhi vRndAvanam ati-vikalo 'kiNcanaH saNcarAmi > > sodhva-tolerating; pada-of the feet; praharan-blows; api--even; > ca-also; sata-satam-hundreds; dhik-krtinam-of insults; ca-also; > kotih-millions; ksut-hunger; trt-thirst; sita-cold; adi-beginning > with; > vadha-sufferings; satam-hundreds; api-even; satatam-constantly; > dhairyam-patience; alambya-attaining; sodhva-tolerating; > muncan-releasing; > soka-of grief; asru-of tears; dharam-a shower; ati-very; > karuna-pathetic; > gira-with words; radhika-krsna-of zrI zrI Radha-Krsna; namani-the > names; > udgayan-singing; karhi-when?; vrndavanam-in VRndavana; ati-very; > vikalah-agitated; akincanah-without any possessions; sancarami--will > I > wander. > > When, patiently tolerating hundreds of kicks, millions of > insults, and > the constant onslaught of hunger, thirst, cold, heat, and hundreds of > other > sufferings, penniless, agitated, shedding a great shower of tears, > and > calling out the names of zrI zrI RAdhA-KRSNa in a piteous voice, will > I > wander in this land of VRndavana? > Text 24 > > adya zvo vA yAsyatIdaM kku-dehaM > sarve bhogA yAnti tatra sthite 'pi > tasmAt saukhyAbhAsa uccair vibhAti > nityAnande nanda vRndAvanAntaH > > adya-today; svah-tomorrow; va-or; yasyati-will go; idam--this; > ku-deham-worthless material body; sarve-all; bhogah-enjoyments; > yanti-go; > tatra-there; sthite-situated; api-even; tasmat-therefore; saukhya-of > happiness; abhasah-the mirage; uccaih-largely; vibhati-is manifest; > nitya-eternal; anande-full of bliss; nanda-rejoice; > vrndavana-VRndavana; > antah-within. > > Today or tomorrow this worthless material body will leave me and > I will > lose all the material happiness connected with it.
