Guest guest
>>i don't have the figures at hand, but india has a high incidence of HIV-infected people,>> No one has those figures at hand, but one frequently seen current estimate is 5 million people, which is more than any other country in the world. The greatest concentrations are still on the West coast (Maharasthra) and in Manipur, but there are many other areas with high prevalence too, including Calcutta and Tamil Nadu (which was where the first AIDS case in India was detected). However, with high numbers of migrant workers and sexually active truckers, it's unfortunately spreading like wild fire, so you're not safe anywhere. I guess what I was trying to say was that eventually they did come around, so it would have been better that they didn't bring something nasty with them when they did. > > > PS: there are a lot of those funny little signs that you sometimes use > which i don't understand. would you mind sending me a collection, if you > have a leisurely minute or two? Really, the only ones I think I use much are :-) which means I'm laughing. there is a whole series of them but I don't use them much ; -) winking, etc. I saw a list of about 30 of them once. I try to make a devotee paying obeisances _/=\o_ and sometimes I play around a little just to see if something looks more like it _/++\o_ _>>o_ really just variations on the theme __ __/---\O__ something like this looks a little better, but harder to do somebody else used ______O__ as full dandavats The idea being that the devotees could have a little alphanumeric icon to use. Just playing around. You gotta have some fun.
