Cow-protection as found in Visnu-smrti 50.19-21

please accept my respectful obeisances.

All glories to Srila Prabhupada and all other Vaisnavas!

All glories to Sri Sri Gaura-Nitai and Sri Sri Radha-Govinda!

 

Visnu-smrti (50.19-21), one of dharma-sastras, says:

 

19) Let one give assistance to a cow that has met with an accident

(such as getting into a slough or falling into a pit).

20) Let one preserve cows from dangers (such as attacks of lions and

tigers ond other).

21) One should not seek shelter for oneself against cold and similar

dangers, without having previously protected cows against them.

 

Nice verses are these, aren't they! Especially the last one.
