I am sorry, I must have expressed myself poorly. The point I wanted to make is that women at present are NOT to be blamed for their feminist condition, either individually or collectively. Just because the men who, having spoiled the women, are no longer present, doesn't mean we can now hold women responsible for feminism. In the exactly the same way that after someone, male or female, who abuses a child leaves, we cannot then blame the grown child for behavioural anomalities. It is men who have made the problem of feminism according to Srila Prabhupada, and can't at a later date transfer the blame to women. > Second of all because I provided evidence by the men themselves that use > these services that indicated their reasons for choosing foreign brides. > No indication of what you stated was in evidence. Just because the men present today have not established Women's lib, they cannot blame women today for being the cause. It is not just the men who are dissatisfied - do you think the women who take their spouces through the Law Courts are the winners? Everyone is a loser. Everyone is a victim. I have seen many marriages in ISKCON break up or go badly just because the husband is not financially responsible. In many cases the male devotee cannot get away from the experience of collecting large amounts of money on the street to get a steady job and a steady income. He also cannot adjust properly to living as a part of a society he has psychologically rejected. When a woman gets married, however she may act in an ashram, she generally expects a secure home and love from a husband and faithfulness. If we are talking about marriage breakdown within ISKCON, we should also address the problem men. ys Antardwip das ps you wrote: >> > While it is difficult to identify the culprits in the karmi world it is >> > not at all difficult to identify them in ISKCON. >> Intelligent point and I missed it, you are right, it is some women who >> push the feminist agenda in ISKCON. >What I meant is that it is easy to identify the MEN responsible in ISKCON >for allowing feminism to flourish and to indeed promote it. Yes. Without men to back them, women can achieve very little. Thank you for agreeing with my basic point.
