If you want to be thoroughly scientific, and that's what you are imposing on others here, then yes, we take it that "there is no evidence suggesting that SP's statement is not absolute". Be it. Now you have put yourself into the bizarre situation. Taking the meaning of the world "eternally conditioned" to have the absolute meaning, you have ruled out so many truths. Look in OED and see the meaning of "eternal". It is something beginningless, yes, but *endless* as well. If the conditioned soul can in any moment cease to be conditioned (depending on his desire and will to surrender to Krsna), then he is not *eternally* conditioned. You got to take the *relative* meaning of the world "eternal" to go around it, and definitely NOT the absolute meaning. Next. The Brahman. It is the state of liberation. So by ruling out the possibility of "nitya-baddha" soul's prior existence in the Spiritual World by claiming that "eternally conditioned" is an absolute statement, you have automatically ruled out the possibility of jivas coming from Brahman. And you ought to be aware of many *explicit* statements that jivas in Brahmana can't stay permanently in that position, due to the very nature of the soul to be active. So these souls most usually descend into the material realm, where they get into maya's grip and become "eternally conditioned". Then they again may liberate themselves and go in Brahman, and again descend... So decide wether you really want to stick to the *absolute* meaning of the expression "eternally conditioned". If you do, you will create a lot of trouble to yourself to provide some sane and not speculative explanation to the most basic truths as found in Prabhupada's books that would be ruled out by his(?) absolute meaning of the expression. Think about it first, and then make up your mind. Tell us what you have decided. - mnd
