Then all of > a sudden I get all these "but but but but and but." No need for all these > "buts." "these buts" will be there so far we are discussing. If you say you are intstructing me then I can stop it. I don't remember objecting / addressing any of your statements about "inferior" and "equal" as such topics do not make much sense to me. the two main things I have been trying to convey are--- 1) men, being more intelligent, are to be held more responsibile for women's degradation, 2) if a husband is able to tolerate wife's faults then eventually he will be able to help her as that will encourage the wife to be submissive. the same goes in regards to men and women. talking of vedic standards, a king was considered responsible for practically anything and everything in his kingdom---- for a son dying before his father or for having no enough rain in the kingdom. can't today's men take little responsibility and agree that they are responsible for society's degradation and try to improve the situation rather than pointing figures at women? it's common sense that leaders are held resonsible, and according vedic standard there is no dispute about men's position as leaders of the society. this is the point. I am not saying you are wrong but you seem to be talking only of the immediate cause. > all it's followers(!). It is due to the raksasa feministic influence and > propaganda that we think women are being exploited and mistreated by those > who are attempting to follow Vedic standards. I am not talking of fools nor do I read such propagandas. How can a person following (or attempting to follow) vedic standard exploit women? the point is, knowing women's weakness, men have to swallow their faults with a broad heart just as Srila Prabhupada swallowed much of our nonsense. this is possible for a true well wisher. and such a well wisher transcendentally "compels" one to be submissive and fully surrender. I may not write more about this and would like to beg forgiveness from you and anyone else if I have been offensive.
