Guest guest
There are four kinds of jivas. Some of them, being covered by avidya, which can be compared to a cloud, are conditioned souls, and others, freed from her covering by their knowledge mixed with devotion are liberated souls. Others, who by devotion which is unalloyed or at least predominant over jnana and karma have become free from avidya's coverings and also have attained bodies composed of cit and ananda suitable for engaging in the Lord's worship, are perfected devotees. Yet others, who are completely devoid of any connection with avidya, are the Lord's eternal associates. >From Srila Visvanath Cakravarti Thakura's commentary on SB 10.87.
