(-: Most of the male grhasta devotees that I have close relationships with are very responsible and their wives are pati vratas. The only training that they really got was from reading SPs books and sincerely trying to apply what SP said to thier lives. It worked. As Srila Prabhupada said in regard to that verse Brahmana kona bhagyavan jiva--that the sincere soul--he is the fortunate soul. There is another longer text "Vaisnavism and Social Responsibility" which may also be of help in this regard. If you are interested I can send that as well.
