Guest guest
Dear Jiva Goswami Prabhu, Please accept my respects. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. I expected replies like yours simply because we have different perspectives and experiences which make us see things in a particular light. At the same time I hope that you don't dismiss what I wrote without further consideration. Remember that many of the bad news in the Movement have been dismissed originally as exagerations only to be proven later to be factual. It is also a fact that many of the unpleasant news within the movement have been denied unnecessarily by the authorities or the individuals involved, only to acknowledge them later when confronted. In this particular case not only me but a group of devotees here in Mexico and in Central America thought that some sort of behind the scenes secret arrangement was been prepared to preserve some status-quo and keep the facts from emerging. But because it was Rathayatra Festival much information emerged in spite of the secrecy of the affair. We consider that it is important that the whole Society knows what is exactly happening internally every day. If you hear many bad news it is because there are many bad news. Hopefully the Movement will move on to develop a more competent organizational structure which will bring us only good news on a daily basis. Your servant Radha Krsna dasa Mexico City ----- > I hope that others are tired of this kind cheap shot commentary on the lives of other people on COM. I never met this Swami and I have no particular reason doubt the details this account of his life and falldown. However the presentation is nothing but demagoguery. That's second time I've written that word in the past week, and probably the third time in my life. Maine, Mexico, it's everywhere. In this case, instead of sensationalism to give false sense of personal power and righteousness, we have emotional pandering to promote an illicit philosophy. Rather than a presentation of a situation for the purpose of informing and preparing the public, we have a loaded, sarcastic and blasphemous spit of words. COM is becoming a haven for the philosophically and emotional disturbed to spout venom from their spinning heads. (Hey! How am I am I doing? Just trying to fit in here!) We don't want our children abused, our women beaten or our cows killed, but our faith? Oh, well that's fair game. Beat it to the ground, screw it, then kill it if you can. I mean ALL devotees in ISKCON were abused by ALL leaders and ALL temples. ALL kids were diddled, ALL cows and ALL women mistreated and of course ALL gurus are fools or worse right? Might as well be straight forward about it. Or could it be that the only devotees still foolish enough to read and write to COM conferences actually THINK like that? Oh? Could it be we have a skewed crowd here? I sure hope so. Otherwise it IS hopeless. You may be speaking your own guru, from your words it sounds like it's possible. But you aren't speaking of mine. It does seem to reveal the lack of qualification of this Swami and the lack of an appropriate oversight mechanism within our society. Could you please not post your anti-ISKCON, anti-GBC, anti-Guru views to COM? Somehow we need to clean up this neighborhood. COM is becoming an unfit place to visit. Discussion is one thing, pumping apa-sampradaya visciousness is another.
