The reliance on the "vedic version" is perhaps misleading. Many quotes about

the value of sons, the vedic system, etc, but none the less Srila Prabhupada's

message remains on and returns to a higher level than the vedic system that

requires sons. Some have sons, some don't which appears unfortunate to the

mundane eye, but the spiritual master delivers one, sons are not necessary.

Some

may be barren and therefore unfortunate by the vedic system, but our great

fortune is that we have been snagged by the lotus feet, which outshine

thousands

ok i will send quotes. actually long back when I was bombarded with "why

no child?" I started writing an article on this issue filled with Srila

Prabhupada quotes where he touches the actual purpose of having children by

having dharmic sex and how it gets one to "no sex" even with his own chaste

wife, and so far my memory goes around 13 pages are already there. I will

take some time in completing the article once i resume writing but if i

don't complete it, i will send you more quotes anyway.
