How can a > person following (or attempting to follow) vedic standard exploit women? They don't. It's the ones who have no concept of the term "inferior" who keep pushing it at *every* woman, not just their wives. That a woman is inferior to her husband isn't so hard for most women to accept (except the blatant feminists), but that I have to be inferior to *every* man on the basis of my body isn't required. That's just a complete misunderstanding of the entire cultural structure. A ksatriya woman is never inferior to a sudra man, for example. One of Arjuna's concerns about killing so many ksatriyas was that it would leave so many inferior men for the superior ksatriya women. So it's not a prerequisite of the female birth that you're immediately inferior to every man. If you look on Folio, and if that's the only source for understanding this subject, then we're not going to get far with it. Prabhupada says in some instances straight out "women are inferior to men." But unless you read the whole context of what he's saying, then it's just so many "quotes," and we can all do that til the cows come home and no one will be the wiser. Anyone can snip quotes. When you're talking of culture, cultured women know how to behave. A ksatriya woman isn't going to go around trying to "prove" how superior she is to a sudra man...she will always act in such a way that no one is disturbed by her. And a cultured sudra respects a ksatriya woman automatically. We've a long way to go to acting like proper sudras before we start slinging terms like 'superior' and 'inferior' around. And on top of that we're bhaktas---the mood of 'inferiority' is diametrically opposed to understanding the purport of trinad api sunicena, taror api sahishnuna, amanina manadena, kirtaniya sada hari...expect no respect from anyone, especially not just because you're a man and you're dealing with a woman...
