I don't have the commentary handy right now, but I recall that the fact that

Canakya titled this book "Artha-sastra" was considered peculiar and an

apparent misnomer. I believe it has to do with the philosophical importance

he gives to acquiring wealth as the root to success in all fields. It has

been some time since I read it, so forgive me while I try to locate it.

Anyone familiar with this point?
