He also felt separation from Rupa Gosvami, and when Rupa Gosvami entered

into the aprakata-lila (eternal, unmanifest pastimes), Raghunatha dasa

Gosvami composed this sloka( Stavavali, Sri Prarthanasraya-caturdasaka 11 ):

“Now that I no longer have the sustainer of my life, the land of Vraja has

become empty and desolate. Govardhana Hill has become like a great python

and Radha-kunda has become like the gaping mouth of a ferocious tigress.”

Raghunatha dasa Gosvami felt that he was so unfortunate because Sri Caitanya

Mahaprabhu departed this world and left him behind. After that he always

resided with Svarupa Damodara, but soon afterwards he also departed. Next he

took shelter of Gadadhara Pandita, but soon he also left the world. Then he

had to flee away to Vrndavana because every place, every particle of dust in

Puri, reminded him of them.
