Lord Caitanya on apasampradayas

This statement by Lord Gauranga is from the last section of the last chp of

Hari-nama-chintamani by Thakura Bhaktivinoda entitled 'Bhajana Pranali':

Suna Haridasa, ei lila-samgopane.

Visva andhakara koribeka dustajane

 

Listen, Hairdasa. After the disappearance of My manifest pastimes from this

world, the sinful wicked people will spread darkness and ignorance in thsi

world.

[ Ei dustajana kahara? Bodha haya, je-sakala lokera pare Sri Mahaprabhura

pracarita siksastaka-sammata pavitra namadharmake gopana koriya bahuvidha

sahajiya, baula o nanaprakara dusta matavada pracara koriyache, tahadigakei

prabhu ullekha koriya eirupa boliyachena.]..

 

Who are these wicked people? One can understand that these people are those

who concealed the pure nama-dharma as preached by Mahaprabhu thro

Shikshashtaka by propogating various wicked-minded theories like sahajiya,

baula and various others. Mahaprabhu has spoken this statement addressing

this people.

 

Sei kale tomara e-caramopadesa;

Avasista sadhujane bujhibe visesa.

 

At that time, O Haridasa, these instructions on chanting given by you in

this book (Hari-Nama-Chintamani) will be the only shelter of the bonafide

sadhus and they will understand the confidential truths of pure bhakti by

hearing or reading them.

 

[(5) Caramopadesa-jahara para ara upadesa haite pare na. Sadhusange

namanusilanai caramopadesa.].

 

There is no greater upadesha or instruction in the whole creation higher

than that given by Shrila Haridas Thakura in Hari-nama-chintamani. The

cultivation of the chanting process in the association of pure sadhus is the

the essence of all instructions.
