Guest guest
> Do Sri Vaisnavas consider Kanchipuram as Sripad Ramanujacarya's sannyasa > guru, or that he took sannyasa "by himself"? I don't think Kanchipurna was a sannyasi. He was from a low caste, so he could not be given sannyasa which was the priviledge of brahmanas at that time. I did hear some indications that he awarded it to himself like Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakur. Here is some indication given by BR Sridhara Maharaja. > and he took sannyasa in 1918. Mahaprabhu's advent day. Bhaktivinoda > Thakura passed away 1914. His gurudeva, Gaura Kisora Babaji Maharaja > passed away 1915. Then about 1918 he took sannyasa. And took sannyasa > before the photo of his gurudeva Gaura Kisora Babaji Maharaja. And > whatever property he had, he dedicated to a trust board, combined by three > of his disciples.
