This Chand. Up. 8.12.3 text is quoted by Ramanuja in his BG and

Vedanta-sutra commentaries (followed by Baladeva Vidyabhusana's

commentaries). Interestingly, in each he gives a different explanation as to

the identity of "uttama purusa" - in Vs. he says mukta-jiva and in BG he

says the Lord.
