Guest guest
Dear Antardwipa Prabhu, Please accept my best wishes. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. > > I don't accept this. Why? First of all you have not provided one shred > > of evidence to support your case except saying that Srila Prabhupada > > said so. Please provide this quote then which proves that men who were > > not born yet had started feminism. > > I am sorry, I must have expressed myself poorly. The point I wanted to > make is that women at present are NOT to be blamed for their feminist > condition, either individually or collectively. Just because the men who, > having spoiled the women, are no longer present, doesn't mean we can now > hold women responsible for feminism. In the exactly the same way that > after someone, male or female, who abuses a child leaves, we cannot then > blame the grown child for behavioural anomalities. > It is men who have made > the problem of feminism according to Srila Prabhupada, and can't at a > later date transfer the blame to women. > Don't mind my saying this but you have said this many times. That according to Srila Prabhupada men started the feminist movement. Please provide proof of this statement. So far I have found zero proof that Srila Prabhupada said men started the feminist movement (at that time it was called Women's Liberation and Women's Lib, the word feminism is not found on the VedaBase). All that can be concluded statements Srila Prabhupada made is that some men have taken advantage of women by using their own movement against them. Many of the leaders of the feminist movement were in fact lesbians (and still are) and they used feminism as a way of sexually exploiting women (and still do). I posted a link some time ago as to how modern "Wymyns Studies" programs are dominated by dykes who see their students as fair game for thier lust. In any case you seem to be fixated on the point that men have actually dreamt up and started the whole enterprize of feminism (which is totaly denied by feminists according to their own history) based on the idea that Srila Prabhupada said this. And from this position you get into the blame game. Please be kind on us and prove your assertion by provinding some quotation from any of Srila Prabhupada's writings or lectures which clearly demonstrate your assertion. This is the Vedic standard, that one provides a basis for his declations by giving some acceptable pramana. Without pramana to support us we get caught up in unlimited speculations which lead no where. It could very well be that you perhaps remembered SP's statements incorrectly or perhaps put a spin on a vague memory which when the original statements are examined just doesn't stand up any more. Because I tell you when I looked at the 13+ hits generated by the VedaBase for the phrase "Women's Liberation" I didn't get the sense that Srila Prabhupada was saying that (some) men started Women's Liberation but merely turned it around on the women. They were like clever lawyers who find loop holes in the laws. Yours in the service of my eternal spiritual master Srila Prabhupada.
