Guest guest
Dear devotees, Please accept my most humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. On August 1, 2 and 3 our Laksmi-Nrsimha Festival tour will be participating again in the annual Woodstock Festival in Poland. Over 400,000 young people are expected. Our 'Krsna's Village of Peace', situated on 1 hector of land just 75 meters from the main stage, will consist of 35 large tents and exhibitions. Our main tent, where we will have stage programs 12 hours a day, will be 110 meters long and 34 meters wide - bigger than a soccer field. Last year the tent was filled with 10,000 kids at any time of the day or night. Each year we distribute 80,000 plates of prasadam; this year we are planning to distribute 100,000 plates. We will also be holding a large Ratha Yatra procession with the English Rath Cart through the festival grounds on August 1. We require a minimum of 500 devotees to perform this 3 day yajna; devotees for bhajans, kirtans, cooking, distributing prasadam, manning booths and tables, security, cleaning etc. Presently we have only 200. We are also looking for good devotee bands to perform on our stage; rock, reggae or hard core. We are appealing to devotees from any part of the world to join us. This year the Catholic Church is organizing, for the first time, their own big village at Woodstock and are raising funds internationally for this purpose. They are bringing in preachers, bands and assistants from as far away as America and Canada. They have seen our success at Woodstock over the years and now want to do the same - or better. Although we welcome them, we don't want to be upstaged. We have a limited budget and can't afford transport for devotees from other countries. But we are praying that there are devotees who are free to come and can afford their travel costs. We promise simple accommodation (bring a sleeping bag and mat, prasadam and the opportunity to witness an historic preaching program in Lord Caitanya's samkirtan movement. The festival will be held in Zary, near Wroclaw, in the southwest of Poland. Berlin ( Tegel )airport in Germany is only 3 hours from the festival site across the border. We can pick devotees up from there and take them back after the festival. If you are interested in coming or have any questions please contact Vara-nayaka dasa at: Vara-nayaka.BVPS (AT) pamho (DOT) net Or call him at: +48.609.458.220 Alternatively you can call either Nandini dasi or Radha Sakhi Vrinda at: +48.603.122.054 We request all devotees and friends to please notify us before July 21, if you plan to come.
