ISKCON is seeking a new director for the International Office of

 

Child Protection. This is a paid position with the opportunity to

 

offer very important service to Lord Chaitanya's mission, serving

 

the Vaisnavas world-wide. It is our humble appeal that you will

a.. Requirements for director

 

Mature, learns quickly, has good people skills, well organized, can delegate

assignments, a good office manager, spiritually strong. Must have at least

 

a bachelor's degree in the social science or mental health fields. Mini-

 

mum of four years professional experience in the child protection/ mental

 

health counseling field. Must be fluent in English.

 

 

Duties of Executive Director

 

 

 

1.. Establish and monitor regional (satellite) offices.

 

2.. Prepare training manuals appropriate for different audiences: (GBCs/

Temple presidents / school staff/ local child protection teams, here-after

referred to as "CPTs"/ children/ parents)

3. Lead and train others to lead regional training sessions world-wide.

 

 

 

4.. Supervise and direct office secretary

 

 

5.. Create reference list of ISKCON health professionals and engage them in

service.

 

 

6.. Make sure screening processes are in place ISKCON-wide.

 

 

7.. Develop and distribute reference material.

 

 

8.. Counsel local CPTs and regional offices with on-going cases as needed.

 

 

9.. Help coordinate counseling for survivors of abuse.

 

 

10.. Coordinate and oversee justice system for hearing cases of abuse.

 

 

11.. Coordinate staffing of and training for that justice system.

 

 

12.. Work closely with "Children of Krishna" for grants, counseling, shared

 

initiatives to help ISKCON youth and survivors of abuse.

 

 

 

a.. Terms of Service

 

1.. Full time (45 hours per week)

2.. Reasonable, respectable salary, adjusted according to cost of living and

personal needs.
