Now is the time to contact us if you or someone you know is still

interested in participating in the Summer Festival of India

Ratha-yatra tour across North America, from June 24th through

August 22nd. Spaces are filling up quickly.

 

We are taking two buses on the road this summer, helping to set up,

perform at, and take down 8 major Ratha-yatra festivals, and visiting

some 21 temples in North America (USA, CANADA, and MEXICO.)

We also offer adventure activities along the way, visiting national

parks, hiking, swimming in both the Atlantic and Pacific oceans, and

whitewater rafting in the Rocky Mountains. See our website for

This is primarily a youth tour, for youth ages 16 - 25 of good moral

character, who are looking to get inspired in Krishna consciousness

in the peer association of some 75 other youth. However, see below

positions for which we need responsible adult devotees.

this information on to any youth you know, who might be interested

We need a limited amount of older devotees and youth at heart to

travel with us as BUS DRIVERS, chaperones, cooks, and book

distributors. Feel free to apply for the below positions. Supply at

least three reference letters / emails from devotees in good standing

who recommend you, such as temple presidents, swamis, gbc,

gurus, department heads, or any responsible devotees in good

standing. Tell us a little about yourself and why you would like to

come on the festival tour. For tour dates, see the website. (We will

select from the best applications, with the best references.) See

4x BUS DRIVERS: If you have a commercial driver's license with

passenger endorsement, or specifically, a bus license to drive

school or commercial buses, please contact us. Email:

2x CHAPERONES: If you are a parent who has raised teenagers,

and you are a devotee in good standing who is willing to perform a

lot of selfless service to other devotee teenagers on the tour, is

patient, tolerant, yet assertive in establishing discipline, boundaries,

bed-times, etc, then please contact us.**

 

2x BOOK DISTRIBUTORS: If you are a good book distributor and

can train youth in doing so on harinamas in cities across North

America, please contact us.**

 

1x COOK: If you have experience cooking in quantity, and you are a

good cook--devotees generally tell you that they like your

cooking--and you can please the appetites of teenagers, please

contact us.**

 

** Please note: We don't sponsor visas. You will need to pay your

costs of transportation to Florida, USA, the start and end point of the

tour, as well as your tour minimum donation of US $995, which

covers the basic costs for you to travel on the tour for two months. All

who come on the tour, including the youth and organizers, pay the

same fees, and do a lot of devotional service throughout the

summer festival tour. (Bus drivers don't have to pay the $995 festival

tour cost minimum donation.)

 

We meet around 250,000 people who attend these 8 Ratha-yatra

festivals (Chicago, Washington D.C., Montreal, Toronto, Detroit, Los

Angeles, San Francisco, Vancouver) plus all those at the 21 temples

and on Harinamas in the streets of the major North American cities.

This tour is sure to be a great source of inspiration for all who

attend. This summer of 2004 will be our tenth anniversary!
