Dear Ekanath prabhu.

Please accept my humble obeisances.

All glories to Srila Prabhupada!

----------------------------

In the Mah€bh€rata (®€nti-parva 348.51–52) we can trace out the history of

the G…t€ as follows:

tret€-yug€dau ca tato

vivasv€n manave dadau

manu ca loka-bhty-arthaˆ

sut€yekv€kave dadau

ikv€kuŠ€ ca kathito

vy€pya lok€n avasthitaƒ

“In the beginning of the millennium known as Tret€-yuga this science of the

relationship with the Supreme was delivered by Vivasv€n to Manu. Manu, being

the father of mankind, gave it to his son Mah€r€ja Ikv€ku, the king of this

earth planet and forefather of the Raghu dynasty, in which Lord R€macandra

appeared.”

Someone suggested this should be ®€nti-parva 349. He said he got this from

Ganguli's edition. The 51-52 he could not check.

Do you have the correct reference?

Thank you very much in advance. Hare Krishna.

Your humble servant,

Rogier.
