Whereas in 13.5 there are *two* digits: > ---------------------------- > As stated in the Taittir…ya Upaniad (2.9), brahma pucchaˆ prati˜h€. > >>> Ref. VedaBase => Bg 13.5 > ---------------------------- > > Are these references correct? The Taittiriya has three sections, called 'valli.' Only the first and third vallis have multiple subdivisions. There one finds 1.3.1, 1.3.2, 1.3.3 etc. or 3.10.1, 3.10.2, up to 3.10.5 etc. In the second valli there are only simple divisions, such as: 2.1, 2.2, 2.3, up to 2.9. Some editors use threefold references even in the second valli. In those editions the texts are marked as 2.1.1, or 2.5.1, or 2.9.1, which is the same as 2.1, 2.5, and 2.9 respectively. The reference for "yad-bh…€ v€taƒ pavate" is 2.8 or 2.8.1. The correct reference for "brahma pucchaˆ prati˜h€" is 2.5 or 2.5.1. ys end
