Your Folio password is stored in the file VEDABASE.LDF. The Folio program

first looks for this file in the current directory, then in the Windows

directory and then in the DOS PATH. When you install the Vedabase then it

uses the VEDABASE.LDF in the Windows directory. To put it there was a bad

idea because if you run Folio under a different Windows version then it

won't find the file. And you cannot move the file because then you would

need a new password.

 

So, if you have not yet received the password then:

- Make sure that there is a VEDABASE.LDF in the C:\VEDABASE directory.

- When you run the Rights Browser make sure that it opens

C:\VEDABASE\VEDABASE.LDF and not C:\WINDOWS\VEDABASE.LDF.

 

Otherwise if you already have installed a valid password but the Folio

program does not find the library under another Windows version then either

- add the directory that contains the valid VEDABASE.LDF at the end of the

DOS PATH or

- in the properties of the Vedabase icon enter as working directory the

directory that contains the valid VEDABASE.LDF.
