We will miss your steadying, sensible hand in things. You've done a really good job of bringing Back to Godhead back to life. You've done a nice service for Srila Prabhupad and the devotees. Thank you for all the help you've given me with my columns -- though I confess, I'm always in fear of your mighty red pen! Anyway, you have taught me a lot of discipline as a writer. I think your idea of enthusing the younger generation to step forward is very good one. We want them to come on board, but without active canvassing and investing time in nurturing them to be good writers, it doesn't seem to be happening. But, with your personal attention, I think we may finally be able to add some young devotees with a fresh perspective. Thanks for all your good work, and for your personal support. I know I'll still be working with you to some extent with the Prabhupada Varnasrama books, so I'll still hear from you on that. Nagaraja is the best choice you could have made as a very even-minded, energetic successor. I think all the staff will support you in this. I hope that your service will expand in exciting ways. Thanks again for all your work with BTG. your servant, Hare Krsna dasi
Guest guest
Dear Jayadvaita Maharaja, Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. Your decision was wise and exemplary. I hope many others will follow your example, and let a younger generation take the helm of ISKCON. We old folks can be emeritus advisors. Traditionally, when a new administration takes over a government, senior officials appointed by the last administration submit resignations, to allow the new executive to put together a new team. So in that spirit, I will submit my resignation from the editorial board of BTG. If Nagaraja desires, I would be happy to continue in my previous capacity. But that decision should be his to make. Thank you for the offer, but I value your comments on submissions. I hope that you and the other editors (and reviewers) will stay on. Hare Krsna.
