Registration of the All-Russian Association of the KC Societies

I would like to share with all of you the following information which I

received a short while back. More news will be available soon, but for now,

I thought you would be happy to hear of this recent victory here in Russia.

Dear Maharajas and Prabhus,

Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada!

 

I am glad to inform all the devotees that recently our Society in

Russia received the certificate about official re-registration according to

the new religious law. Russian Society for Krsna COnsciousness kept the

status of the full-fledged religous organization with all the subsequent

rights.

 

As you may remember, approximately one year ago, when the new

religous law was passed by the Parliament we were worried about possible

consequences for our Society. At that time many devotees throughout the

world were trying to help us. The response of the devotees was overwhelming.

We received many letters of support, and a massive campaign was commenced.

Especially powerful was the support from India and its leaders. After some

time we were assured by some governmental officials that they are not

planning to close our Society or diminish its status. Now we recievd the

official confirmation.

 

We would like to thank all the devotees who helped us during this

year (they are too numerous to name them personally). It was a very good

example of cooperative spirit which helped us to overcome this obstacle. We

are eternally indebted to all of you and always depend on your prayers and

good wishes.

 

The last remark, we received our offical registration after Mormons,

but before the Russian Orthodox Church.
