There is a Bengali proverb, dekhe sekhe and tekhe sekhe (?).

> And one, when actually experienced, then he becomes cautious.

 

Bhakti charu swami clarifies.

 

The proverb goes like "dekhe sekha and thake sheka". The literal translation

will be "learn by seeing and learn after being cheated".
