(Alternatives such as "Advent Day of Srimad >Bhagavad-gita" will be acceptable.)] Isn't it still technically incorrect to say "advent day"? Isn't this the same as jayanti? We were trying to find a translation for the temple newsletter, but thought that, since the Gita didn't really "advent" or "appear" on this day (it was only later written down by Vyasadeva, and even then initially as part of another scripture, Mahabharata), it would be better to say "The day that Srimad Bhagavad-gita was spoken." Could this be the reason why Srila Bhaktisiddanta Sarasvati Thakura disapproved jayanti even for the Bhagavad-gita?
