Guest guest
Pranams to all people, I hope many would have heard that the current DMK government of Tamil Nadu, is going to issue a government order that "All people, not just brahmins, can become priests in hindu temples". He has intended for all the temples that are currently under government. They also seems a plan to train many non-brahmin people for this. Our tradition is based on varnashrama darma and not caste fights. But, he wont understand this. Sorry to bring this news to groups, but any idea on what all the temples that might get affected? Guest guest
"All people can become priests" as long as this is based on qualifications and gunas of the individual and not birth, then this is a great step forward.
Guest guest
This is the age of Kali. Vihita karma tyagam and nishiddha karma aacharanam are the order of the day. Desikan thathaji, the days of kamsa are reentering. Viparitha interpretations of shasthras by people belonging to neo religious cults give boost to ideas like those who are not born as brahmin can become priests. But in the given case, in Tamil Nadu, the issue is not much about shasthras since the present day govt. is naasthika. They are least bathered whether even puja is conducted properly in temples. Their main aim is to destroy the temples and plunder the immeasurable wealth existing even today in south indian temples. this is simply a ploy. But these things are happening not because you and I dislike it or people belonging to neo religious cults enjoy this moment or naasthikas find this moment for an opportunity to destroy temples and plunder its wealth - but it is predestined by god. brahmins doing neecha seva and mlecha imitating bramins then what a person who is already into nishiddha karma aacharana but not so far indulged in vihita karma tyaga is supposed to do. Do your nithyakarmas with more sincerety. it is on the strength of your nithyakarmas devathas get strength and asura prakruthis become weak. Dharmo rakshathi rakshithaha parithranaya saadhoonam vinashayacha dushkrutham God will take care of the naasthikas and people belonging to neo religious cults who are misinterpretting shasthras on the selective basis. You have alot of growing up to do! And who are these neo-cults you speak of? Give me some names so we know who you're talking about? People like youself have done nothing against these so-called "neo-cults" until your position is threatened. Who needs Christian and Muslim missionaries, when Brahmin-suppoters like yourself will destroy Hinduism much quicker than anybody else? As this is a sri vaisnava forum, I wish to ask you Guest, please explain the rational behind your acharya Ramanuja for accepting non Brahmin (harijans) into his fold as thirukulathars and allowing them to conduct rituals ? Btw as per your sampradaya, any one who has shamasharayana is entitled to conduct temple worship, isnt that true ? They are least bathered whether even puja is conducted properly in temples. Their main aim is to destroy the temples and plunder the immeasurable wealth existing even today in south indian temples Dont spew nonsense - most caste brahmins serving as temple achakars are below the mark, do you want me to embarrass you by listing the abominable acts of these acharkars ? then what a person who is already into nishiddha karma aacharana but not so far indulged in vihita karma tyaga is supposed to do. In many village temples peoples from all castes serve as hereditary priests. For examples many Mariamman temples non brahmins are priests for generations. In Iskon temples, devotees from race who are devoted to Lord Krishna qualifies to become priests. Many siddhas and saints from other castes have their temples (Eg: Palani temple)
