Haribol!

When I took initiation from my Guru Maharaja, I promised to him that I will

chant at least 16 rounds each day, and also Srila Prabhupada said so many

times that chanting is our the most important service to our Guru Maharaja.

Otherwise, we could listen to our mind and chant less rounds, or, even we

can stop chanting.

The question is simply whether Srila Prabhupada personally followed Srila

Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakura's standard for preachers (minimum of 4

rounds) for the sake of spreading Krishna consciousness and saving time for

translating Srimad Bhagavatam etc. It's not a question of whether he chanted

4 rounds because he didn't want to chant more (indeed, that's out of the

question), but whether he chanted 4 rounds to save time for his glorious

preaching activities.

Good point.

Perhaps we have had enough of this thread. Let us chant our 16 rounds and

pray to the previous acaryas for forgiveness in case we accidentally

offended them in the course of our discussion, and let us go on with our

spiritual life.
