Dear Prabhus.PAMHO.AGTSP.

 

I was in the seminar of the unification church(they try to cooperate with

other religions to create peace in the world) and the subject matter of

discussion was "Family life and spirituality".They spoke a lot about happy

and peaceful family life as basis of worlwide peace;why families are

breaking up;family life as not the most important thing in the life but

instead of that love of God;about sexual love etc.

There were different discussion groups and I was making notes in one of

them as well giving some input what our vaisnava philosophy says about

particular subject:animalkilling,proper family life etc.I came up with the

point that for normal unexploiting family life between man and woman there

is a great necessity of character-training in premarried life namely

practicing celibacy.The chairman Mr.Kucier liked this idea and came up with

the proposal to make a small list of reasons why practice of celibacy is

good.This would be given to consideration to other religious groups who

would also give their opinion about the subject matter and after that the

idea is to give a to give a proposal to schools to teach the importance of

celibacy to students. Nowadays there is only education about sex but not

about celibacy.This education would hopefully improve the behaviour of young

people.

I would like to kindly ask you,if you can please help to send me some

Biblical quotes or maybe even from other scriptures about benefit and

importance of celibate life.But most importantly I would like to have some

reasons which are scientific and could be easily understood even by

atheistic people.Please make the reasons short,clear and strong.The ultimate

list of reasons would be 3-4 pages.Thanks a lot in advance.Hare Krsna.
