Guest guest
Pujyam Prabhu, namonamƒ. ñaya r…la Prabhup€da The celibacy site has reaped a few seeds. You can read the letter-request below. The thing is that I promised to join interested people to the celibacy mailing list. I don't see a better one than <brahmacarya (AT) com (DOT) bbt.se>. I can not do this, if our moderator, Krsna-krpa Prabhu, will not allow, or if other members do not consent. In that case I'll have to start a separate e-mail internet list. I would humbly suggest that "outsiders" can be included if they consent to the rules of the Brahmacarya conference, which should be developed then. I see something similar in this policy to the VAST conference. There are quite a number of e-mail addresses of scholars, studying and respecting ‰aud…ya VaiŠavism. Feedback from all brahmacarya listers is appreciated and response from the moderator is looked forward to. If Krsna-krpa Prabhu is rather positive, I feel that the aspiring new member is not added immediately, but first acknowledged with the rules (which we have to adopt). In these rules he may find out that we are a specific group, interested in abstinence as a means of spiritual emancipation and that we have a slant for Indian spiritual tradition in general and bhakti-yoga in particular. Then, if he likes the rules, he may be requested to write a short presentation and that's it. ys abhinanda das www.iskcon.net/celibacy This is a forwarded message James Rivers <jamesone (AT) mail (DOT) ru> celibacy (AT) brhat (DOT) hypermart.net <celibacy (AT) brhat (DOT) hypermart.net> Tuesday, July 06, 1999, 12:37:28 AM request ===8<==============Original message text=============== Sir, I'm not sure how to explain that to you, but looks like I've been searching for the things you offer all of my life. I'm 22 right now, and most of the time that I remember myself (in the adolescent years) I was feeling that there is something more to the sex than the people around talk about. I've always felt that this is some sort of energy that is making us powerful. Unfortunately, I didn't have anyone around me who could explain all these things to me, guide me in some sort of way; so, I've had to experiment in many different ways to find the truth that had always been out there. Now I've came upon your page recently following the link from the Russian page (I don't know whether you even speak Russian or not). I would like to ask you the permission to be joined to this list. I'm very happy that I've found you, I've never thought that such group of people exist. It can be compared to the feeling when you think of yourself as a idiot or pervert because nobody around you think that way, and one fine day you realize that you were right despite all the pressure of the ordinary people to agree with their opinion. Thank you again. James Rivers ===8<===========End of original message text===========
