Guest guest
The 4 ways of indifference of the senses from worldly enjoyments according to Patanjali: 1)direct endeavour-stoping the seneses so that they are not engaged in enjoying the sense-objects. 2)exclusion or indirect method-certain sense desires which are under control are carefuly observed so that they don't get out of control, they are kept eliminated from those sense desires which have not yet been brought under control. 3)existence in the senses-when the controlled sense desires cannot anymore overtake him to engage in sense enjoyment, but continue to create curiosity in the heart about sense gratification is called the existence of sense enjoyments enclosed within the senses only. 4)complete control-from enjoyments of worldly objects occurs when there is no any more curiosity about sense-enjoyments,even when earthly and heavenly objects of sense-gratification are present before one and yet one is no more tempted by them and feels complete aversion to them it is the state of complete indifference to wordly objects and their enjoyment.
