Guest guest
The brahmacaris' practice of detachment is not meant for breeding loners, or insulated persons with little concern for or interaction with others. Brahmacari life is for training men of strong character who though largely self-dependent take responsibility for others, either remaining as an ideal brahmacari, or becoming a principled grhastha, or taking sannyasa and thus accepting the whole world as his family (vasundhaiva kutumbakam). Therefore a brahmacari who, although living communally, mostly concentrates on his own needs, and whose detachment from material relationships expands to an impersonal negation of Krsna conscious relationships, may well be advised to marry and thus forcibly come out of his self-imposed and unhealthy cocoon.
