Guest guest
As there is not much activity on this conference at the moment, here is a small contribution: There is a verse that appears twice in Srimad-Bhagavatam, practically verbatim, which warns about the bondage resulting from male-female association. Lord Kapila includes infatuation along with bondage, while Lord Krishna in His teachings to His confidential friend Uddhava includes suffering. Considering these are the words of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, they are a compelling and serious warning for persons desiring liberation from material bondage and suffering, and they have a sobering effect on the mind. SB 3.31.35 na tathasya bhaven moho bandhas canya-prasangatah yosit-sangad yatha pumso yatha tat-sangi-sangatah The infatuation and bondage which accrue to a man from attachment to any other object is not as complete as that resulting from attachment to a woman or to the fellowship of men who are fond of women. SB 11.14.30 na tathasya bhaven kleso bandhas canya-prasangatah yosit-sangad yatha pumso yatha tat-sangi-sangatah Of all kinds of suffering and bondage arising from various attachments, none is greater than the suffering and bondage arising from attachment to women and intimate contact with those attached to women. your servant, Krishna-kripa das
