Dear and respected His Holiness Bhakti Vikasa Maharaja,

 

PAMHO. AGTSP. AGTYH.

 

Thank you Maharaja for your time and comment. I am blessed. All your

coomments are truths. Similarly mine also as they are also based on Guru,

Sadhu and Shastra. I wrote that comment with the following understanding.

Please forgive me and correct me if I am wrong.

 

1. In *general* women are considered less intelligent than men. No one

should find fault or feel offended if the shastra says so, as shastra is

apaurusheya.

 

2. In *general* men are less intelligent like women in Kaliyuga. Kalau

sudra sambhavah. No one should find fault or feel offended if the shastra

says so, as shastra is apaurusheya.

 

These are general statements. However Lord Krishna or his representative do

not consider this differences for self realisation and bhakti. Caturvarnyam

maya srustam and two verses before that 'samoham sarva bhutesu' show that

the Supreme Lord and His devotee are, impartial.

 

But in *particular*, case to case Lord and His agents evaluate each

individual living entity. Every man and every woman are evaluated according

to his/her guna and karma.

 

If a brahmana's wife is following her husband then she is brahmani. If a

bramana's wife is not following her husband then she is not brahmani. Also

if a brahmana falls down and the wife does not fall down then wife is still

considered a brahmani. Just like if a disciple does not follow a fallen

guru he is still considered a vaisnava. That is what I meant when I said

society is divided according to guna and karma in any yuga, man or woman.

That is the difference between Daivy VAD and rubber stamp VAD. In general

women should follow husbands who are following their dharma, but women need

not follow those husbands who are not following their dharma. Most of us

have rejected our families and come to Srila Prabhupada. Is it not?

 

In SB 6.17.36 immediately in the next verse, it is said mother Parvati

became steady in intelligence. That is by Lord Siva's association and

instruction she became steady in intelligence.

 

A sudrani also can become steady in intelligence by following a bonafide

spiritual master, like Srila Prabhupada, whether her sudra husband follows

in her footsteps or not. She can act as guru to her husband if she is more

advanced than her husband.

Now compare to this statement also by Srila Prabhupada

 

So anyway, now this Bhagavad-gita was written, was spoken to a family man,

Arjuna, military man, and the whole Mahabharata is meant for

stri-sudra-dvijabandhu, less qualified men. Just see. In those days less

qualified men were meant for understanding Bhagavad-gita in half an hour.

Just imagine what class of less intelligent persons were at that time. The

same Bhagavad-gita, now scholars like Dr. Radhakrishnan, and others, so many

big big scholars, they are scrutinizingly studying; still they cannot

understand. But this Bhagavad-gita was meant for the less intelligent class

of men of that time. Just you can imagine what class of less intelligent

class and women were there. It is specially written, you will see,

stri-sudra-dvijabandhunam trayi na sruti-gocara. Because woman class and

less intelligent class, and these unworthy sons of the brahmanas and

ksatriyas, they will not be able to understand the original Vedic

literature, therefore it has been presented in a story form with historical

facts so that they can understand. That was the origin of Mahabharata.

 

By analysis of the above comment I understand,

 

1) As the Kali Yuga progresses, intelligence diminishes, along with strength

etc,.

2) Everyone will be a sudra or less than a sudra, as kaliyuga progresses.

3) In such a scenario, you are simply comparing the less intelligent with

less intelligent. comparing sudras, and less than sudras (papa yonayah),

with women also supposed to be less intelligent. So you don't find much

difference. That is where the confusion is.

4) So it is all relative. (material world duality).

5) If you compare with a woman, or sudra of 5000 years back to a brahmana

of year 2002AD , the woman or sudra of 3000BC will be definitely more

intelligent than the brahmana of year 2002. As intelligence, strength,

longevity etc,. have reduced over the years. So we must compare apples with

apples and oranges with oranges

6) However, if you compare a woman of 3000 BC to a brahmana (man) of 3000BC

the brahmana (man) was more intelligent. That is why Mahabharata was

written by Vyasadeva for the then vaisyas, women, sudras and less than

sudras they could understand. And the then Brahmanas could understand the

Vedas and Vedanta Sutras. But 2002 AD scholars, scientists, kings,

presidents etc,,. cannot understand Bhagavadgita, which was easily

understood by vaisyas, women, sudras and less than sudras in year 3000BC.

Today even devotees, practicing KC for 15 years or more still cannot

understand Bhagavadgita easily. That is the reason, Lord Caitanya and

Nityananda made it very simple. Simply by chanting Hare Krishna one can

become very intelligent and achieve the desired goal.

7) In general both ordinary women and men are less intelligent, who cannot

differentiate matter from spirit in any age.

8) Any man or woman bird or beast who can differentiate matter from spirit

and surrenders to Lord Krishna is most intelligent in any age.

9) So the only way of reestablishing the Daivy VAD is simply by spreading

the Holy Name by preaching. There is no other way.
