In Hari-Bhakti-Vilasa Gopal Bhata Goswami mentions pranayama as one of the

purvanga karmas(preliminary activities) before doing Gayatri MAntras.So it

is bonafide for Vaisnavas.(as told by Subheksana Prabhu from Bhaktivedanta

Academy who was doing research work on HBV).Maybe HH Bhanu Maharaja could

confirm this?
