Eight times more lusty?

Radhe Govinda Das quoted Canakya Pandit:

"Women have hunger two-fold, shyness four-fold, daring six-fold, and lust

eight-fold as compared to men."

 

A few points only:

 

- Canakya Pandit is not a self-realised soul, maybe some kind of a wise

person. I also heard he had a tough marriage...One time while I was living

in San Diego, someone had posted a list of Canakya Pandit's quotes, among

which the famous one "You cannot trust a woman and a politician". I added

the following comment on the post "Do you want me to list the names of all

the devotee men who cannot be trusted in this community, or this movement,

for all their untrustworthy acts (or downright abominable)?" The paper

disappeared the next day!

 

Women 8 times more lusty? In which sense? They "might" be more concerned

about their bodies and the bodies of others (after all women's bodies

produce and care for new bodies), more attached to material objets (when you

have a house and a family to take care of, you got to be a little more

concerned about the senses of others), they are certainly able to enjoy

sexually more and longer than men, who get exhausted more quickly due to

their physiological constitution ( a little envy there?).

 

But when you talk about lust, that strong sex desire, that foaming at the

mouth, not to speak of the atrocities committed because of that sex drive,

I'm wondering what Canakya Pandit is talking about. When we consider the

following facts, that nobody can deny, we'll be more careful in quoting

Canakya Pandit, I hope, or at least hesitate before throwing this at the

face of women. Statistics are here, who can argue with them? Whole books are

written about it, news are filled with it, etc, etc. It is right under your

nose, if you have the courage and the honesty to open your eyes!

 

-Who in ISKCON marriages wants the most sex, it is men! Ask any guru or any

marriage counselor!

- Who is usually cheating on their partner in ISKCON marriages? Men of

course! -Who goes to visit prostitutes? Mostly men, in an overwhelming

proportion! Men prostitutes are much less and I believe more recent.

-Who would like to have many partners at the same time (I'm talking about

poligamy only here)? Men of course! It is obvious that poligamy is a great

way for men to enjoy right and left, whenever they want.

- Who are the ones raping the opposite sex? Men. Which grosser and more

disgusting form of lust can you find?

-Talking now of molesting children sexually? Look at the Gurukulis cases and

the recent scandals in the Catholic Church! Men and men! I've never read a

report yet of women sexually molesting children. I know it happens, but

rarely.

 

OK, Canakya Pandit, I'll go for the "six times more daring", I do not mind

that one, especially if I use this boldness for Krishna's service!
