Guest guest
I am not really interested in discussing the relative lustiness of women on the brahmacari conference since it does not accomplish a whole lot. The real point is that we should not associate with members of the opposite sex in such a way that lusty desires are induced or increased. For men, this is can done by seeing women as mothers (according to Srila Prabhupada and Canakya Pandita) or seeing women as Krishna's consorts (according to Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati). Whether we are temporarily encaged in a male or female body, we are trying to decrease our lust to the point of zero and increase our Krishna-seva to the point of 100%. Instructions that promote these two things coming from guru, sadhu, and sastra and our realizations of the value of these instructions are better contributions. As far as becoming free from material desires, Narottama Das Thakura suggests that the mercy of Lord Nityananda is the remedy, and Prahlad Maharaja prays to Lord Nrsimha to become free from lusty desires to enjoy this world. When I asked my spiritual master Satsvarupa Dasa Goswami how I could remain brahmacari, he answered that I should always keep myself absorbed in devotional service. Originally I thought that sounded a bit simplistic, but as I have thought about it and tried to act in the way, I see it is very practical. Lusty desires to enjoy in this world may seem overwhelming, but if Krishna helps clean our heart then they can be vanquished. SB 1.2.17 states that for one who likes to hear His messages, the Lord Himself takes up the cleaning process. This eagerness to hear results from faithful service to the Lord's devotees (SB 1.12.16). Best wishes. your servant, Krishna-kripa das moderator of Brahmacarya
