VedAnta SUtra 1.1.12

oM Ananda-mayo 'bhyAsAt

anandamayaH-composed of happiness; abhyAsAt-by nature.

By nature, the Supreme Lord is blissful.

om ananda-mayo 'bhyasat

anandamayah -- composed of happiness; abhyasat -- by nature.

By nature, the Supreme Lord is blissful.

My question: How did the word abhyasat which means "repetition" or

"practice" come to mean "nature?"
