I wanted to know if it's bona fide to do so or not. r…la Prabhup€da specifically made this possible for ladies to stay in arams as brahmacariŠis. Yet I have heard of some ISKCON temples in India, where they don't have this facility and encourage matajis to stay rather under the protection of father/husband/son. In our small temple I was suggesting this system (being member of the board). Matter being is such that it's presently rather austere in the russian temples and we have no opportunity for social care. Matajis are often victimized by this situation, so my suggestion was, that the were no new recruiting from this side. Of course brahmacaris always agree, but there were some objective protests, that we can not discriminate on sex, since that is the system our Founder-€c€rya has set. desiring to remain your humble servant, abhinanda d€sa
