Guest guest
I'm in the process of revising my "Brahmacari book" and am making a few changes and additions. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know. Here's one of the revisions. PREVIOUS If a brahmacari feels attracted to accumulating possessions and opulent life, it is not a very good sign for his spiritual advancement. Nevertheless, if he wants to have such things, he can get married, earn money, and, after giving 50% of his income for Krsna consciousness, buy whatever he likes. REVISED If a brahmacari feels attracted to accumulating possessions and opulent life, it is not a good sign for his spiritual advancement. Nevertheless, if he wants such things, he can get married, earn money, and buy whatever his wife allows him to. BG 16 Chapter The householders should earn a livelihood by an honorable means and spend FIFTY PERCENT of their income to propagate Kåñëa consciousness all over the world. Thus a householder should give in charity to institutional societies that are engaged in that way. SB Introduction And before leaving home for Lord Caitanya Mahäprabhu, he divided the wealth as follows: FIFTY PERCENT for the service of the Lord and His devotees, twenty-five percent for relatives and twenty-five percent for his personal needs in case of emergency. In that way he set an example for all householders. And many many more references. Your servant Radha Raman Das
