Sometimes ®rila Prabhup€da wrote "*at least* 50 %." However, in SB 1.17.38

purport he wrote, "up to fifty percent", and in his practical dealings he

never insisted on householders giving 50%. It is therefore a somewhat

controversial point that anyway isn't directly part of the brahmacarya

discussion, so I decided to leave it out for an in-depth discussion in a

book on family life, if and when I ever get around to writing it.
