Guest guest
shurka dhatu (semen is a part of shukra dhatu) is quite vital and important. We have seven dathus in our body. Rasa, rakta, mansa, meda, asthi, majja and shukra. What ever food we take is digested by the pachak rasa (digestive fire), and first of all rasa dathu is formed and rasa dathu forms rakta dathu and rakta dathu is responsible for formation of mansa dathu ans in the same manner each dathu is prepared by the previous dhatu and lastly shukra dathu is formed. From shukra is formed "ojus" which is a vital fluid responsible for the immunity, life and prana. As shukra is last dathu, it is "Saar" or essence of all dathus. So it is very important to preserve shukra. Losing of it causes loses of "ojus" which is life energy of body. If it is not saves body will weakened. Also loss of shukra results in loss of all the dhatus because each one in inter-related. So therefore the importance of Brahmcharya in Ayurveda. Brahmcharya helps to maintain good quality of shukra and ojus in the body which is the base of life, health (mental and physical). Ayurveda advises to sleep on the back and to sleep on the left side after eating food. Sleeping on the stomach is definitely not good for any body. Our body is designed in a way that it stays in good shape only if we use it in a specific way. Sleeping on the stomach is like parking car upside down (wheels upwards) and that's not proper. Or it is something like eating through the nose and not the mouth. (Dr. Partap Chauhan)
