Guest guest
With the progression of the age of Kali, people are becoming attached to women. By the influence of the age of Kali, the women are always dressed in an overly attractive fashion to victimize the minds of men. (extracted from SB 1.17.24 purport) I know that it is the nature of women to create trouble and discord between friends. Indeed, women are so fickle and hard-hearted that when they become obsessed with some desire, they give up all sense of morality. (Laksmana to Sita, Ramayana, Aranya-kanda) Apart from all other contamination, if one simply remains attached to a woman, that single contamination will be sufficient to prolong one's miserable material existence. Consequently, in Vedic civilization one is trained from the beginning to give up attachment for women. The first stage of life is brahmacari, the second stage grhastha, the third stage vänaprastha, and the fourth stage sannyäsa. All these stages are devised to enable one to detach himself from the association of women.============ REF. SB 4.28.27 (In Kali yuga) The brahmacaris are so only because they cannot marry.
