Guest guest
In the parable Christ says that the kingdom of heaven is like three brides awaiting the bridegroom. Two kept their oil lamps filled, the other used up her oil. The third "bride" with no "oil" was not taken by the groom on his arrival. This parable refers elegantly to stored-up sexual energy. The bride who had "no oil in her lamp" was the transcendentalist who had blown his sperm/life force/sexual energy. That bride had spent it through sexual orgasms. Thus they were unable to "handle" the cosmic bridegroom i.e God.
Guest guest
Could you kindly mention wherefrom the explanation (which you have quoted) to the parable has come? Was the explanation also part of the bible? Is anyone aware of other explanations? curious Nayana-ranjana (AT) bbt (DOT) se [Nayana-ranjana (AT) bbt (DOT) se] Sent: Friday, September 17, 1999 12:25 AM To: COM: Brahmacarya Subject: Bride with no oil [Text 2632922 from COM] In the parable Christ says that the kingdom of heaven is like three brides awaiting the bridegroom.
