Dear Eric ~ what you wrote touched me very deeply. I especially liked the "picture" I got in my mind of you lighting a candle and offering some fruit before you start the day. One thing I wonder about, and anyone who knows can answer, is how does one receive a Guru Mantra from Maa and Swamiji? Do you have to be in their presence, and since They are no longer touring, and not all of us can go to the Devi Mandir for the satsanghs (have they started yet?) due to various circumstances. I am burning to know this. With puja so difficult for me, japa is something I could do, like you say, as part of anything else I may do. I am so happy because Doug and I learned today that we are getting the house we want. My first action will be to find a good place to nail my Ganesh bas relief (it has a flat back to fit against the wall, but the figure of Ganesh is sculptural, and his belly somehow becomes a bowl (for offerings?, for water that has been blessed during puja?). I have taken Ganesh with me everywhere for quite some time, but this is the first time I will actually be able to give him a home too. And, I will have an altar! I don't know if you can imagine how much this thrills and delights me. Even if all I can do is bow down several times each day, I will really be so joyful. Now ... Muktimaa? ... anyone .... where do I find Murtis? (I have a Nataraj, but that is all.) This is only possible through the Grace of Maa and Swamiji, so from the bottom of my heart, thank you, dear Gurus.
