Guest guest
Dear Sri Chandrasekhar, Bharat and others, In Jataka Parijatham (Vaidyanatha Kritha), the author (or translator) expressed the view of seeing the Pancha Maha Purusha Yogas from Moon also. The author says, that the mahapurusha yoga occurs when any of these five (Mars, Merc, Jup, Venus, Saturn) planets is/are located in own house or exaltation, and in a kendra from either Lagna or Moon. He did not say Moon or Lagna whichever is strong. He clarly said either of them, which means he gave equal importance to Moon Rasi as of Lagna itself. I think different translators differ in the interpretations, and may be influenced by their own views/experiences. My opinion: I myself have exalted Mercury in a kendra from Moon (not from Lagna) and I believe my Mercury Maha dasha has been excellent and gave me unexpected rise in life. I am not a public figure but compared to where I was before and where I am, I see a change of very high magniture. I believe I have some of the characteristics of Bhadra Maha purusha yoga, though we may not accept it that way or call it that way. My opinion is, a planet in strength in kendra from Moon has its own significance, whether we call it a maha purusha yoga or not. I also have Sasa Maha Purusha Yoga from Lagna. Saturn maha dasha also gave me spectacular results (after extreme hardwork, because Sa in Kendra). If I compare the two Maha dashas, I may have to say that my Merc Maha dasha seems to be more superior in its results. Also one of my daughters has Bhadra maha purusha yoga with exalted in Mercury in 10th house along with Sun (with directional strength also forming Budha Aditya yoga in 10th house (with Sa in Moola Trikona not kendra) from Lagna and she has resemblences like characteristics, behavior, grasping abilities and such things very similar to me and I always remember my childhood when I interact with her. She also has a Neecha Bhanga raja yoga with Venus in Kanya, thus forming total of 3 or 4 rajayogas in the 10th house (hers is Dhanur lagna). I am waiting to see her Budha maha dasha. She still has 7 yrs of Sa maha dasha to go. She is doing pretty well in Sa dasha also as Sa is in Moola trikona. Therefore, I personally believe that considering Maha purusha yoga from Moon Rasi is not necessarily wrong. Probably, that is what the experienced translators might have done. Just like any other shloka taken from classics and put to test, I believe considering Mahapurusha yogas from Moon rasi gives us some clues, rather than just sticking to the shlokas. Guest guest
Dear Satya, I am unable to find the shloka you are mentioning in Jataka Parijata, for Mahapurusha yoga. As far as I know, Jataka Parijata says at CH7 shloka 59: mUliÇkae[injtu¼g&haepyata ÉaEm}jIvistÉanusuta bilóa>, mülatrikoëanijatuìgagåhopayätä bhaumajïajévasitabhänusutä baliñöhäù| keNÔiSwta yid tda êcÉÔh<smalVycaêzzyaegkra ÉviNt.59. kendrasthitä yadi tadä rücabhadrahaàsamälavyacärüçaçayogakarä bhavanti||59|| _When Mangal, Budha, Guru, Shukra or Shani occupy their Moolatrikona, own or exaltation rasi in strength and should they be placed in a Kendra, Ruchaka, Bhadra, Hamsa, Malavya and Shasha yogas occur._ Are you referring to any other shloka? Is there any other edition of jataka Parijata that gives any other shloka, that is with you? I hope you are not referring to subsequent shlokas that give additional results on account of even one of Dharmesha (9th lord), Labhesha (11th lord) or Dhanesha (2nd lord) being in Kendra to Chandra, Guru being the lord of Labha, for Ruchaka yoga jataka getting unlimited Kingdom. The shloka appears in Sanskrit 99 and ULW Palladio IT fonts in alternate lines beginning with the first line. Awaiting your response. By the way, it is not only a Panch Mahapurusha yoga that gives good results in the dasha of a graha. So only because you had good Mercury dasha, by itself would not prove that when Mercury is in Kendra from Moon would indicate that the yoga is Panch Mahapurusha yoga. Manasagari says that if Sun or Moon join graha causing Mahapurusha yoga, the yoga is broken. Saravali also says similar thing. Chandrashekhar.
