The Kaimkaryams of Srimath Andavan's sihyas in USA under the leadership and

guidance

of Ramanuja Mission, clearly show by action their sincere dedication, and

service to their AchAryan.

 

In doing so they have been serving others in the community for the past

7+ years with satsanghs and educational programs via the tele-bridge and

in person. Their active members in many parts of the country is a boon to

many

budding devotees. Many of adiyen's personal friends have been the beneficiary

of this great institution.

 

===> Ramanuja Mission as a pioneer in leading in some of the activities:

 

=> * Paduka ThiruAradhanam of all of the Acharyas of Srimath Periyandavan

of Srirangam

and padukas of other mutts and current day acahryas (eg: HH Sriman

Narayana Chinna Jeeyar Swami).

 

This is a rare blessing to get and every recepient should be be grateful

and thankful to Sri RamanujaMission Inc for

allowing us to receive the blessings of all the padukas,

 

* Desika Prabhandam and Azhvar Prabhandam Classes on Tele-bridge

 

Sri Ramanuja Mission started teaching the classes in a very organized way,

and many students

have benefited. Adiyen learnt some of the Desika Stothrams from Sri KM

Narayanan.

 

* The Desika Stotra Mala CD

 

Sri Ramanuja Mission, released the Desika Stotra Mala CDs chanted by Sri

Shyam and Venkat Sreenivasan.

I received the copy and still hear them at adiyen's home. This was the

first such audio set released anywhere

with such a clarity in pronunciation, intonation and recording.

 

* Honoring both kalais and all acharyas by chanting their tanains/

satthumurai etc.

 

Personal experience: The first time we had the honor and blessings to work

with Sri Ramanuja Mission

was in October 2000, when we had the joint Acharya Thirunakshatram in

Chicago, with about

200 sri vaishanva particiapants, with 70 particiapants from our of town.

The enthusiasm and acharya bhakthi in each and every one of the Ramanuja

Mission

team members was vibrantly visible from the time we received them at the

airport.

[The scene of first few young men coming out of the terminal,

sri Shreyas Sarangan, KV Narayanan, Shyam & Venkat Srinivasan, Srikant,

(with Thiruman Kappu and a pleasant smile at the airport is still in my eyes.]

At this function, the leadership from Sri Poondi Vijayaraghavan, Sri

Nadadur Mathavan, Sri Murali Thirumalai

and Sri Kannan kept the team going steady with the services they provide and

an anchor for the young men to join and develop into contributing devotees.

 

We celebrated the holy advent of two of our dearest acharyas,

tirunakshatrams of Sri Vedanta Desika and Sri Manavaala Maamunikal in

Chicago at

Sri Venkatesvara Swami temple, Aurora, Illinois. This was the first time

in the United States

where the tirunakshatrams of Swami Desika and Swami Manavaala Maamunikal

were jointly celebrated.

 

Their commitment to perform Paduka Thiruaradhanam and Bhagavath Aradhanam

is truly motivational. During the Acharya Thirunakshatram in october 2000,

they performed kainkariyam with about 3 hours of sleep or less.

 

Even today at every location whenever adiyen has had the bhagyam of serving

with Ramanuja Mission, they have always chanted both Tanians and Satthumurai

and allowed others to chant their acharya tanians, thereby honoring and making

Ramanuja Mission an institution that serves all Sri Vaishnavas in the US.

 

and LAST but not the LEAST:

* Kaimkaryam Awards every year by Sri Ramanuja Mission, Inc.,

with blessings from HH Sri Rangaramanuja Mahadesikan

 

These are just the services that adiyen as an outsider far away from WDC

and NY/ NJ

is able to see and am very thankful for these. I am sure they serve in

many more areas now,

like Adyayana Utsavam, the new Temple, Upnaysams, Panchangams, Matrimonials

etc.
