His Majesty The King of Nepal awarded HH Jayapataka Swami

Please accept my most humble obeisance's & All glories to Srila Prabhupada

 

On January 23rd His Majesty The King of Nepal Gyanendra

Bir Bikram Shah Dev awarded His Holiness Jayapataka Swami amongst 4

leaders of the World Hindu Federation for Their contribution towards the

preservation,

promotion and protection of Hindu Dharma in a very special and elaborate

function at Pragya Pratisthan Kendra (The Royal Academy) in Kathmandu -

Nepal. This event was organized by The World Hindu Federation during their

16th executive meeting. At the same function the main donors who

offered big support to the WHF in Nepal were also recognized by the King.

 

It is important to mention that HH JPS received this special award by the

mercy of Sri Guru and Sri Gauranga. The award is mainly to recognize

Maharaja's preaching activities around the world for more than 35 years. HH

Jayapataka Swami represents ISKCON in the World Hindu Federation as well as

HH JPS is The Vice Chairman of this International Hindu organization.

 

Once one of the Hindu leaders specially praised HH

Jayapataka Swami for his relentless preaching and for inspiring people to be

followers of Sanatan Dharma, HH Jayapataka Swami was quick to humbly offer

the credit to the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita and especially to his

beloved spiritual master Srila Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada.

HH Jayapataka Swami is also one of the founders of the World Hindu

Federation since 1981.

 

During our meetings we heard many Hindu Leaders glorifying the

extraordinary work of all ISKCON devotees who are dedicated to preach and

perform great services to the worldwide community. ISKCON members were also

glorified for hosting and organizing important programs in fields of

education, social work, cultivating interest and preaching Vedic culture,

promoting Sanskrit language, giving courses on sastras, converting people

into vegetarians, distributing free food (FFL), preaching non-violence and

love for Godhead, preaching in prisons, developing holy places and main

Tirthas in India, Nepal and Bangladesh, implementing Namahattas and

Bhakti-vrkshas, educating communities who are target of religious

conversions, etc.

 

HH Jayapataka Swami mentioned that this award and recognition from the World

Hindu Federation, the King & government of Nepal (the only Hindu kingdom in

the world) is for all ISKCON devotees who are preaching God Consciousness

and helping others to understand the real meaning of life.

 

After this ceremony, Their Majesties King Gyanendra and Queen Komal

visited the 'DHAM DARSAN-Exhibition-2004' where ISKCON organized a

Photo Exhibition about Sri Mayapur Dham. Their Majesties were happy and

impressed about ISKCON's activities in the holy Dham, its members and

especially about the Vedic Planetarium temple project. We had an exhibition

about Sri Mayapur Dham, Food For Life, Srila Prabhupada's life biography

with Pictures that we brought from Malaysia for this special occasion and

Books. We also extended our invitation to Their Majesties for the opening

ceremony of the Vedic planetarium temple in the future. At the end we

offered some books as gifts to the special guests.(All the Executive members

also received ISKCON Bhajans and kirtans CD's, and books).

 

I wish to also mention a newspaper article in which it was reported that His

Majesty while at the last meeting of the WHF at Gorakhpur, was named The

Emperor of all Hindus in the world. This is because he is the only Hindu

King at present.

 

On the 24th and 25th The Executive Members of The World Hindu federation

had their 16th extraordinary meetings in Kathmandu inaugurated by the

Honorable Prime Minister of Nepal Surya Bahadur Thapa.
