Dear Hari Priya prabhu,

Here is what my cake decoration book states about Royal Icing:

"The consistency of royal frosting depends upon its use. For rosettes and

flat frosting it should be quite firm, whereas for applying latticework

and writing it should be a little thinner. Royal frosting can be made in

any quantity in the proportion of *~1 egg per cup of sieved

confectioners' sugar~* (Have you tried regular egg replacer? or adding

cream of tartar?) The addition of glycerine will aid the softening of

the frosting when it is dry."

I hope this is helpful. There is more about royal frosting-- let

me know if you want to read it.

your servant,

Sucharya dd
